      Hardwood Floor Cleaning

There are many times a home owner should consider having a professional deep cleaning of their wood floors. Here are just a couple.

Selling your home

Hardwood floors are a significant investment for any home owner. Protecting that investment through professional cleaning of the hardwood floors only makes sense.

When you are considering Selling a home, especially in the Hillsboro and Beaverton Oregon area, you want to get the highest offer possible. If you've kept up on cleaning all the floors in your home (carpet, tile, laminate, hardwood) it reduces the amount of action items you'll need to address before you list the home.

Regular Home Maintenance

When you have professional hardwood cleaning done on your hardwood flooring it helps to avoid the need to fully refinish them down the line.

We all know that life happens and there are seasons in life that having your hardwood floors serviced may not have been a priority. If you do not have major issues in your floor and there's any chance you will want to sell your home in the next 2-5 years, scheduling a deep cleaning is well worth the relatively small investment compared to a full refinishing.

Cleaning vs. refinishing your floors. What is the difference?

A professional deep Cleaning if your hardwood floors will get deep into the cracks and crevices to remove the dirt and debris that normal sweeping and mopping is unable to get to. It evens out layers of coating that will have worn unevenly from normal walking patterns through your house. You can also opt to having a new coating of protectant added to the floors at the same time, which we highly recommend.

Refinishing your floors will be a more in depth and more expensive investment that includes sanding down the floors, filling in chips or divots and multiple coats to seal and protect the newly exposed surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ
Do I Need to Move My Furniture Before You Come?

Yes. In preparation for the cleaning you will need to clear out all the furniture. We can clean around larger items however when they are eventually moved you will notice a difference in the flooring color. We do not recommend leaving any areas unaddressed. If you would like to have assistance in the moving of any furniture please mention that at the time of estimate for a price.

Time Needed to Clean My Hardwood Floors?

It can vary depending on the soil level, how many rooms have hardwood flooring and if you would like us to apply a protective coating afterward (which we highly recommend). When we come do an in person estimate we can talk to you about your specific home and the time frame.

How Long Will It Take To Dry?

When applying the protectant we recommend staying completely off the floors a minimum of two hours, but believe waiting a full 24 hours will be best. This is also very true for replacing furniture. Area rugs should be off the floors for 7-10 days to ensure the protective coating has fully cured.

Will All Spots and Stains Be Removed?

The age and wear of the floor along with some substances can discolor wood permanently, aside from fully sanding and refinishing. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that all the spots and stains will come out of your hardwood floor. Prior to cleaning, our technicians will try to determine whether or not the stain can be removed; and talk to you about any areas of concern during the free in person estimate.
